Food Service Information & Reminders
At the end of school year 2023-2024, any balances left on Seniors accounts will be transferred to any other students in the household that have accounts. If there is a senior, but no other household members, a refund will be issued to parents via a check in the mail for any balances of $5.00 and above. All other students, any balances left on account, will be balance forwarded to next school year 2024-2025.
Food Service Balance Notifications
Information regarding food service balance notifications: The balance notifications that are sent out are system generated for individuals with balances starting at $10.00. The notifications go out for balances starting at $10.00 and exclude $0.00 balances. With individual accounts, you will get a notification for each student within your household when their balance reaches $10.00. If you want to see your student(s) food service transactions, please login to your parent portal in Infinite Campus, check under Food Service. Or, you can contact Stacy Justison, food service secretary, to confirm a balance. 693-2444, ext. 8113.
Free/Reduced Meal Benefits Reminder
If you applied for and are receiving Free/Reduced meal benefits for your students from last school year 2023-24, those benefits will expire on October 17, 2024. You MUST reapply for benefits by this date in order to see if you qualify for benefits to continue for school year 2024-25. If no application is received and processed by this date, your status will move to paid after this date..
It is highly encouraged to apply for Free/Reduced meal benefits online via your Infinite Campus Parent Portal, then select More>Applications, so they can be processed electronically, however, if preferred, paper applications are available in the district office, at any of the schools or you may request to have one sent home with your student.
Important Reminders
The low balance notifications are sent out weekly to those with balances starting at $10.00 and below. If you are not receiving these notices, please ensure that you have an email address listed in your parent portal. Log in to your parent portal in Infinite Campus, then under Contact Preferences, ensure an email address is listed and "General Notification" is check marked.
It is not necessary to send separate payments towards accounts unless that is what you prefer. One payment can be sent, then note on the check/envelope how much of that payment you want to go towards each student in your household. If it is not specified, the amount will automatically be divided amongst each student in the household.
When receiving payment, and an account is negative, funds may be applied to that account if it wasn't specified so that negative account will have a positive balance. And, to help clear up a negative account, funds may be transferred from one household member to another at any time if a member in the household has a negative balance.
Funds can easily be transferred from one account to another by contacting the Food Service Secretary, Stacy Justison, (320-693-2444) or email ( sjustison@isd465.org). This is especially helpful if you notice one account is much lower than another.
It is important to keep funds in accounts to cover any a la carte items/milk only that a student may take.
No seconds or a la carte/milk only will be allowed for purchased if an account is negative.
Students must take all items on the menu in order for the meal to count as a reimbursable free meal.
