Pandemic-EBT Benefits for Families
If you want to be considered for P-EBT Benefits for the 2020-2021 school year, please apply for Free/Reduced-price meals with your child’s school before February 28, 2021. If you are already receiving SNAP or MFIP, or have applied for F/R meals and have qualified for this school year, there is no action needed. You may apply online via your Infinite Campus parent portal or contact your child's school or the district office for an application.
Background Information about P-EBT Benefits:
Students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals may be eligible for Pandemic-Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) to purchase food. To be considered, households must submit an application for free or reduced-price meals for the 2020-21 school year or be approved for Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Families who received P-EBT benefits last summer are not automatically eligible; eligibility is based on the current school year. Benefits may be retroactive to September 2020, depending on when eligibility for free or reduced price meals is determined. To ensure you qualify for the most benefits, please submit your F/R meals application as soon as possible (if you have not already applied yet for this school year).
