This class is
designed to improve each student's abilities in a variety of areas
related to jobs and employability. We will be using a number of
materials but will rely heavily on the Life and Employability Skills
series of Transition Skills published by Ten Sigma and Power Basics: School to Career. We will be visiting places of business, taking interest inventories, volunteering in a number of work areas, and learning how to find, get and keep a job.

This class is a continuation of the work seminar learning. It will give students an opportunity to get school credit for work experience. They will be supported as needed on the workplace. We will be observing the student on the job at least once per quarter. Work Supervisors will be contacted monthly for additional information.

Structured Study hall is a class that allows students that are on Individualized Educational Plans (I.E.P.s) to get additional assistance on their homework for classes during the day. This also allows students to work on the individual skills that are needed to be successful in school. This may include practice in reading fluency, Math fluency, writing skills or study skills.
